Wickmayer Makes Great Return

Yanina Wickmayer made her return to competitive tennis during the first day of the NRP RUBIK NORDIC MASTERS in a spectacular fashion, beating Norway's No. 1 Ulrikke Eikieri.

Playing a Pro-Set match she lost only five points in the whole match winning 9-0.

"It feels great to be back on court," said the Belgium No. 1. "I can't wait for the new season to start."

"I want to put the whole doping episode behind me and firmly focus on my goals for 2010. The US open will be my main target next season."

Today Yannina will meet Sweden's up and coming Johanna Larsson in final of the Nordic Masters.

In the mens final Finland's Jarkko Nieminen faces Erling Tveit from Norway. The finals start at noon on saturday at the Riksanlegget.
